Problem:
AltaSim’s client produces electrical components using electroplating processes. They struggled to develop an electroplating process for a new product and were rapidly approaching their production launch deadline. Due to the lack of a qualified electroplating process, they had missed multiple milestones.
Solution:
AltaSim conducted a series of simulations of the process for electroplating a critical component. Over a range of designs, AltaSim reproduced the flaws observed in the physical prototyping and identified conditions that would produce acceptable plating. AltaSim used these results to assess the tolerances required to consistently meet the plating requirements.
Results:
Our client invested $45,000 in AltaSim’s team, which produced these simulations over a two-month period. This allowed our client’s engineering team to meet their electroplating milestones and get the product launch back on track.
