Problem:
One of AltaSim’s recent clients is working to develop technology to flow a unique fluid through a piping system. They are seeking to expand their market share and need accurate data to present to their customers. Developing this data has been a challenge. The properties of this unique fluid cannot be characterized by material models currently available within commercial software. The engineers were not experts in simulation and had no way to simulate the flow through their piping system and develop the data that they need. Our client needed to develop an advanced simulation capability and then simulate their product for numerous use cases.
Solution:
Our client leveraged AltaSim’s extensive expertise to develop a simulation capability that represented their unique flow conditions. AltaSim conducted a literature review and identified research papers that related directly to their flow conditions. AltaSim then implemented equations from this literature into COMSOL Multiphysics to produce a unique simulation tool for our client. Our client attended our introductory training class to enable them to simulate additional cases of interest using the simulation procedure developed by AltaSim.
Results:
These simulations enabled our client to generate accurate data to show prospects. They were able to use the simulations developed by AltaSim and training provided by AltaSim to conduct simulations of their specific fluid flow conditions. These results differentiate their solution in the marketplace and demonstrate their ability to conduct advanced simulation capabilities to solve their clients needs.
